Grant's 67th Birthday
Arrived at the hotel to be offered 20% off food, a free bottle of bubbly, upgraded room and 1pm checkout. We went back downstairs ordering a small bowl of chips. Back in the room at around 3:30 after having some lovely chips and sauce to find a bucket of ice and wine waiting for us there. Now lying back watching tipping point. Looking forward to the meal tonight. We are back from the meal now and both feeling more full and drunk more wine than we should have but it was very nice. 5 courses plus a free starter plus a free little dessert for me at the end. The wines did not suit everyone nor were the meals, but all-in-all very nice and absolutely lovely service.
