Wednesday 15th August - London
These sort of scenes are not unusual, but remain a wonderful sight. This is a commercial building in Shanklin Town.
Christmas shops are always on the "must do" list.
We left town early to go to the ferry, stopping off at Osborne house before we boarded at 4:30 ferry. On arrival at Osborne House there were literally hundreds of cars trying to find parks in any place they could. We found one on a grass paddock nearby along with number of others. We walked all the way back to the entrance to Osborne House to find that it was a £19 admission fee per person we were not prepared to pay it because we were not particularly interested in the place, but were certainly not $80 New Zealand interested in it so we walked back to the car decided to go to the ferry and see if we could get an earlier booking home. We spoke to the girl there and she immediately booked us on the 1:30 ferry which was only about 10 minutes away. We were second in the queue and within about 10 minutes we were on board in the lounge having a first class sailing towards the mainland.
